A Mask for Everyone
Shortly after the worldwide outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in spring 2020, refugees from Somalia and Syria as well as German long-time residents of a small town near Berlin sewed more than 3,000 masks. They sewed for all the inhabitants of the village.
During their work they were teachers, pupils and friends to each other.
Amongst the recipients of masks were a group of children of nurses, doctors, supermarket cashiers and other professions of "systematic relevance". They were the only ones who visited the local school during that time.
